Thomas L. Washburn III WASHBURN Thomas L. Washburn, III< age 64 of Jacksonville, FL, died December 28, 2003. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas L. Washburn, Jr. A long-time resident of Atlanta, he was a 1957 graduate of Russell High School and a graduate of the University of Tennessee. Mr. Washburn earned his doctorate of Jurisprudence from John Marshall Law School in Atlanta. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1961 - 1968. Upon returning to the Atlanta area, he joined Washburn Realty Co. in East Point as an agent, later vice president and managing broker of the Jonesboro office. Upon graduating from John Marshall, Mr. Washbvurn opened his law firm, Thomas L. Washburn, III, Attorney at Law, in College Park. ;He was an avid motorcyclist and a member of the Christian Motorcycle Association. He and his wife, Sue were members of Happy Valley Baptist Church in Villa Rica. At the time of his death, Mr. Washburn was working as Fleet Manager for North Florida Lincoln-Mercury in Jacksonville, FL Survi ved by his beloved wife, Susan G. (Sue) Washburn; son and daughter-in-law B. Scott and Sandy Washburn, Indialantic, FL; daughter and son-in-law, Kristi and Steve Rapson, Peachtree City; son and daughter-in-law, Thomas K. (Tom) and Shanon Washburn, Alpharetta; mother, Sally O. Washburn, Woodstock; sister, Sally W., Hamby, Woodstock; grandchildren, Andrew and Sarah Beth Rapson, Peachtree City; Shelley, Brent, and Shane Washburn, all of Indialantic, FL; W.E.S. and Carter Washburn, Alpharetta; aunt, Colleen Childress, Sharpsburg; aunt, Mary Louise McConnell, Mobile, AL; great-uncle, the Rev. Ralph T. Kyle, Marietta; step-sons, Jonathand H. and Samuel G. Newsom, Jacksonville, FL; step-granddaughter, Stephanie R. Douglas, Prospect, KY; nieces, Deborah L. Groninger, Fayetteville and Melissa F. Hamby, Marietta and many cousins. Funeral services Friday, January 2, 2004, Happy Valley Baptist Church, Villa Rica, 11 a.m. , in state, 10:30 a.m. Rev. Eddie R. Wyatt and Rev. Dan Dorner officiating. Graveside services will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, College Park, at 1:30 p.m. Memorials may be made to Happy Valley Baptist Church 605 Main Street, Villa Rica, 30180 or Gideons International, P.O.
