Jean, On further reflection I remembered there was a Knotts Ave. It is the first short street south of GA 166. It is possible that back in the time frame you mentioned, that Knotts crossed main street and also the railroad tracks. There was a large switching yard in that area and a lot of railroad people lived near the yard. The East Point train station was much further south on Main Street (US 29). It was located where Cleveland Ave. crossed the tracks. You might also inquire of the Easpoint Historical Soc. They have a lot of old information about the railroad.
